Job summary

Stellantis in Auburn Hills, MI, invites students to a year‑round program that blends remote work during the academic year with on‑site summer work. Expect 24 hours/week during the year and up to 40 hours/week in May–August, with relocation support possible.

You’ll join Cost Engineering as a student contributor, applying classroom learnings to cost modeling, data analysis, and forecasting logistics costs and carbon footprint reporting. Mentorship and networking are provided.

STUDENT PROGRAM FORMAT:

This student program follows a format in which participants work remotely during the academic year (September through April) and onsite during the summer (May through August). Remote work must be performed from a location within the United States.

During the academic year, students who reside in the Metro Detroit area are highly encouraged to work onsite at the Stellantis Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan, as their schedules permit.

During the academic year, students are expected to work 24 hours per week during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. Students selected for the program will work with their manager to establish a consistent weekly schedule that fulfills the 24-hour requirement while accommodating their class schedule.

During the summer months (May through August), students are expected to work onsite at the Stellantis Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Students may be required to relocate and may work up to 40 hours per week during this period, based on business needs and management discretion. Relocation assistance may be available to students who meet specific eligibility requirements.

Student program cohorts begin quarterly in January, April, June, and September. Students are intended to remain in the program through graduation.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS:

The Cost Engineering - Cost Methods, Tools, and Data Solutions organization at Stellantis is responsible for defining standard costing methodologies and developing the tools used to generate cost models for global vehicle teams. The group leverages solutions such as AI, Power BI, Excel, and other technologies to meet the needs of the Cost Engineering community and support accurate, robust cost analysis. This team within the CTPC organization plays a highly strategic role and requires innovative, out-of-the-box thinking to develop the tools needed for the future.

This student program position will support the development and structure of a robust tool capable of calculating and forecasting logistics costs for purchased components across the supply chain. The tool will also calculate the carbon footprint of these activities and provide reporting outputs that can be used to support strategic decision‑making.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or a related field from an accredited college or university


• Must have completed at least one year of undergraduate study at the time of hire


• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications


• Able to work 24 hours per week, year‑round


• Willingness to relocate, if applicable
