Job summary

Amazon Leo, the Global Planning data team at Amazon, is seeking a Data Engineer to develop data products, ETL pipelines and governance for geospatial datasets. You will work with scientists and software engineers to support forecasting and capacity simulations across the Leo network.

You will improve data architecture, ensure data quality and scale, and automate processes for efficient data generation. Experience with AWS data services and large-scale BI analytics is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• 1+ years of ETL/ELT processes for BI analytics.
• 1+ years of OLAP analytics and data modeling experience.
• 1+ years of SQL development and operation on large-scale data structures.
• Familiarity with AWS data services.

Responsibilities

• Develop Leo data products, infrastructure and ETL pipelines for geospatial datasets using AWS big data techs.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers for modeling and simulations.
• Improve data architecture for scale, quality and performance.
• Implement data governance to ensure data accuracy and security compliance.
• Automate data processes to generate structured datasets for forecasting and system inputs.
• Build data dictionary, catalog and governance plan; audit registered data.
• Provide guidance to data consumers on data assets.
