Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim in Ridgefield, CT is seeking a Lead Patient Safety Physician to oversee global pharmacovigilance risk management for marketed and investigational compounds. You will lead safety activities and partner with Medical Affairs, Epidemiology and Regulatory teams to ensure patient safety and compliant risk management.

US MD/DO required with 5+ years in healthcare or pharma and 1–3 years of leadership; strong communication and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• US MD/DO degree (or international equivalent) with license to practice.
• 5+ years total in healthcare/research or industry; minimum 2+ years in pharma/pharmacovigilance.
• 1–3 years of leadership experience; potential for people leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills; high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop proactive risk management strategies for marketed/investigational compounds.
• Lead cross-functional pharmacovigilance activities and safety analyses.
• Coordinate with Global Epidemiology, Medical Affairs and Regulatory teams.
• Represent GPV in internal/external committees and senior leadership meetings.
• Mentor or lead risk management team as needed.
