Job summary

Ernst & Young LLP (EY) is seeking a senior US Payroll professional to lead large-scale payroll projects and ongoing operations. You will manage complex delivery, coordinate with cross‑functional EY teams, and drive standard global payroll methodologies across multiple clients in a hybrid work model.

The role requires CPA/CPP, extensive payroll experience in the US, and strong data analytics with knowledge of SAP, ADP Global View, Workday and Oracle. Travel as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• US payroll knowledge including implementation and recurring operations.
• Experience with large payroll projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• CPA/CPP certification and education aligned with finance or accounting.
• Strong Excel, data analytics and basic SQL capabilities.
• Experience integrating payroll with major HCM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage large US payroll projects or recurring delivery with timeliness and accuracy.
• Create processes and teams for rapid client implementations.
• Collaborate with EY services for a seamless one‑EY experience.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in payroll solutions.
• Build client relationships as trusted advisor; manage stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop the team’s US payroll knowledge.
• Support business development and process improvements in payroll operations.
• Identify improvements to project delivery tools and templates.
• Stay updated on global trends and regulatory changes; handle complex work.
• Define future processes post go-live and stabilization.
• Flag delays and raise issues during implementations.
• Prepare SOPs and workflow documents for payroll processing.
