Job summary

ByteDance is seeking an intern to contribute to the Global Payment Business Architecture within the Infrastructure team in San Jose. You will participate in the design, development, and modernization of core architectural capabilities, focusing on high availability and scalability.

The internship offers hands-on experience, exposure to cross-functional teams, and opportunities to learn through workshops and development programs.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C++, or Python.
• Foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networking, and databases.
• Knowledge of ML topics such as model training and evaluation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, and evolution of the Global Payment Business Architecture, supporting growth and regulatory requirements.
• Develop a deep understanding of global payment scenarios and align architecture with business and regulatory needs.
• Assist in governance, cost optimization, standards, and metadata management to improve maintainability and engineering productivity.
