Job summary

Flexport is seeking a Global Operations Specialist to manage ocean and air shipments from origin booking to final delivery, ensuring data accuracy and timely execution.

As part of the North American Operations team you will collaborate cross-functionally, uphold SOPs and KPIs, and use metrics to improve performance in a fast-paced, highly regulated industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Associate's degree or 1+ year of relevant experience preferred.
• Team-centric mindset: focused on team outcomes and delivering for the client.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Google Suite/Microsoft Suite (Sheets/Excel).
• Fluency in English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Execute the movement of ocean and air shipments from booking at origin to final delivery at destination.
• Maintain communications with Flexport transportation and warehousing partners to facilitate shipments in transit.
• Work and communicate cross-functionally within Flexport.
• Be part of frontline groups ensuring shipments move on time and exceptions are handled appropriately.
• Use metrics to spot opportunities to improve and deliver great performance in your role.
• Own the data quality of client information by validating booked shipments, tracking shipment status, and validating shipment schedules.
• Consistently follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure work satisfies KPIs and SLAs in line with productivity goals.

You will:

• Own the data quality of our client's information by validating booked shipments, tracking client shipment status, and validating shipment schedules.
• Consistently follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that your work satisfies internal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service-Level Agreements (SLAs) in line with productivity goals.

You should have:

• Bachelor's/Associate's degree OR 1+ year of relevant experience preferred. New graduates are encouraged to apply!
