Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. seeks an Executive Director, Head of Center of Excellence in Global Medical Safety to lead a team of safety physicians and scientists across regions.

You will set strategy, recruit and develop talent, and coordinate CSPV resources for pivotal programs, ensuring high-quality medical safety leadership and regulatory alignment. The role reports to CSPV leadership, collaborates with other departments, and drives global standardization of processes to support clinical development

Qualifications

• MD required; MD/PhD preferred.
• 10+ years of clinical development or clinical safety/post-marketing safety in pharma.
• 5+ years of clinical safety/post-marketing safety experience.
• Demonstrated leadership/management experience.
• Excellent communication, project management, writing and analytic skills.
• Strong organizational leadership and coordination abilities.
• In-depth understanding of regulatory progress in safety and pharmacovigilance.

Responsabilités

• Lead creation of strategies and objectives for CSPV and Global Medical Safety, including the CoE, aligning with Daiichi Sankyo goals.
• Manage CSPV HR matters, performance reviews and talent development; oversee CoE leadership.
• Recruit, develop and retain safety physicians and scientists; coach and mentor CoE and CSPV members.
• Ensure sufficient resources; coordinate cross-regional talent development and allocation.
• Oversee CSPV strategic initiatives within the CoE and harmonize governance models.
• Guide global CoE roles and responsibilities as the organization grows.
• Provide medical and scientific guidance for CoE activities and global safety efforts.
• Manage complex safety issues in review, risk management, translational safety and aggregate reporting.
