Job summary

The Nature Conservancy is seeking a Development Coordinator to support the Global Markets fundraising team in a hybrid role. You will help with portfolio management, meeting planning, event coordination, and maintaining donor and team files in the database.

You will update donor data, generate donor reports, and process gift acknowledgements while collaborating with fundraising managers to keep projects on track. A bachelor’s degree and 1 year of experience are required.

What We Can Achieve Together:As a member of the Global Development Fundraising Operations team, the Development Coordinator works on a variety of fundraising activities and provides administrative support to the Global Markets department.The Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting Global Markets out-the-door fundraisers and fundraising managers in various development activities, including: portfolio management and tracking, scheduling and planning logistics of meetings, event coordination, maintaining donor and team files, pulling reports, sending gift acknowledgements, and basic research. A primary job function is updating donor and fundraiser data in the database, namely: donor/prospect interactions, fundraising plans and strategies, contact information, relationships, and communications preferences. The Coordinator uses the fundraising management system to enter data, produce donor reports, perform analysis and research, and track prospects and donors. They apply established processes and practices to improve effectiveness. The Coordinator may have substantial contact with staff, donors, legal and financial professionals. They will provide other staff with information they need to make decisions and solve problems. They will perform administrative functions as required.This position is based in the DC metro area or New York Office and follows a hybrid work schedule with the expectation of up to 3 days in person work in the in office per week during the first year.We’re Looking for You:Are you organized, detail-oriented, and ready to make an impact? This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges.
