Abbott is offering a Corporate Global Marketing and External Affairs Internship in Abbott Park, IL for Summer 2027. The 12-week program is paid and includes housing/transportation if criteria are met, with one-on-one mentorship across levels and meaningful project work.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a marketing or communications bachelor’s degree, with basic marketing knowledge, social media familiarity, and authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Completed at least two-three years of college education before beginning internship.
• Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferable in marketing, communications or related fields.
• Applied understanding of basic marketing and communications principles.
• Familiarity with major social media platforms.
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Support marketing campaign planning and execution.
• Support development of marketing communication materials.
• Participate in brand architecture and design work.
• Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels.
• Develop communications plans for major initiatives.
• Learn about citizenship and sustainability efforts.
• Support key sponsorship programs.
• Take part in formal and informal training opportunities.
• Measure and report the results of marketing initiatives.
