Job summary

Inchcape Shipping Services in the United States (Port Fort Lauderdale) is seeking an Operations Representative (Boarding Agent) to support the safe, timely turnaround of vessels. You will coordinate vessel requirements, procurement of vendor services, and on‑call operations for principals while adhering to maritime regulations and company standards.

The role requires independent work, strong communication, and the ability to board vessels via gangway; you should be comfortable lifting 50 lbs,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Maritime Transportation preferred.
• US work eligibility required to work in the US.
• Prior marine agency experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, smooth vessel turnaround for appointed vessels.
• Procure vendor services and support Inchcape’s 24/7 operations.
• Board vessels as required and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide customer-focused logistics and effective communication with principals.
