Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking an Economics Spring Intern to join the Corporate Economics team within FP&A at our Cleveland, OH HQ. You will work closely with the Corporate Economist on macroeconomic analysis, industrial market forecasting, and data-driven decision support.

During 12 weeks, you will build econometric models, use Python/R/Stata for data analyses, and develop visuals for executives. This internship emphasizes practical insights, storytelling from data, and exposure to Bloomberg

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergrad degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or related quantitative field.
• Strong foundation in economic theory, statistics, and econometrics.
• Experience with quantitative research using empirical data from academic projects or internships.
• Excel, PowerPoint and Word advanced skills.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, R, Stata, or SQL).
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Track macroeconomic indicators across regions (GDP, inflation, employment, rates, trade).
• Conduct end-market research in aerospace, defense, energy, clean tech, and transportation sectors.
• Build econometric models and digital tools using Python, R or Stata to automate indicators.
• Utilize Bloomberg Anywhere to extract data and monitor market developments.
• Evaluate public policy and geopolitics effects on manufacturing demand.
• Create visuals and briefing memos to translate econometric results for leaders.
