Job summary

Ryan seeks a senior Counsel to manage day-to-day litigation and dispute resolution on a global scale. The role involves advising on complex commercial disputes, bankruptcy issues, and strategic risk management.

Juris Doctor Degree (JD) and license to practice law in the US (Texas preferred).
At least eight years of relevant litigation experience including mediation/arbitration.
Broad knowledge of litigation, bankruptcy issues, and risk management.
Global matters experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day litigation and dispute resolution management, including complex commercial litigation and discovery.
Manage outside counsel efficiently and cost-effectively.
Provide practical legal advice considering stakeholder perspectives.
Oversee insurance coverage compliance and notify carriers.
Support Board materials related to litigation.
Monitor changes in laws across North America and internationally.
Draft and review firm policies and procedures.
Collaborate with team to report outcomes and updates.
Advise on disputes with clients/vendors and contract terminations.
