Job summary

Ampere, a semiconductor design company driving energy-efficient AI compute, seeks a Global Labs Linux DevOps Engineer in Santa Clara. You will design and deploy infrastructure to accelerate engineering, automate deployments via CI/CD, and collaborate with internal teams and forward-looking partners.

You will apply your Linux, storage, and scripting expertise to improve reliability, performance, and developer productivity while advancing secure, scalable systems and best practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of demonstrated experience with CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI, along with strong proficiency in Git-based development workflows.
• Very capable in diagnosing and resolving Linux issues involving system performance, services, networking, storage, permissions, and application failures.
• Proven hands-on expertise with Storage technologies, Ansible (Configuration Mgmt.), Docker (Containerization), Bash, and Open-source tooling.
• Skillful with NFS and ZFS file systems, a must.
• Proficient in Python scripting, including core concepts and software development methodologies.
• Additional skills highly desired: Experience with UEFI; ACPI; TrueNAS; NetApp; EMC Storage; Hitachi Storage; ARM processors; Virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and automate deployment workflows for technical solutions using scripting and CI/CD pipelines to streamline releases, reduce manual effort, and improve reliability.
• Provide internal technical support to engineering teams, including troubleshooting, documentation, and issue resolution, to maintain product and system availability.
• Design and deliver scalable solutions that improve engineer productivity.
• Architect, deploy, and continuously maintain secure, reliable, and flexible infrastructure and systems by applying best practices.
