Job summary

Christie’s in New York seeks an International Head of Department, Sculpture to lead the global Sculpture team and drive sales strategy across Auction and Private Sales worldwide. You will collaborate with regional heads to secure consignments, grow revenue, and manage high‑value client relationships.

You will spearhead global Private Sales efforts, oversee sourcing, negotiation, and deal execution while ensuring compliance and rigorous provenance research.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MA or higher) in Art History or related field, with Sculpture specialization.
• Extensive international sculpture market experience and knowledge of major artists, periods, materials, and scholars.
• Strong leadership and mentoring能力 to develop a high-performing team.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for high-value deals.

Responsibilities

• Lead global Sculpture department strategy with cross-continental leadership and growth targets.
• Identify and secure high-value works for auction and Private Sales worldwide.
• Oversee global Private Sales strategy, sourcing, negotiation, and deal execution.
• Ensure compliance, provenance research, and risk management across markets.
