Job summary
Hart Shaped Rocks LLC is seeking a Lead Jewelry Designer to helm the design function from concept through production. This is a full-time role reporting to the Chief Creative Officer, with collaboration across Product Development and Merchandising to shape the collection and drive brand vision.
The ideal candidate has a distinct point of view, strong independent work ethic, and can lead design direction while partnering with leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5-7 years jewelry design experience.
- At least two years leading design direction for a brand.
- Experience designing across charms, pendants, necklaces and earrings.
- Strong tech pack skills with knowledge of manufacturing, materials, finishes, stones and engraving.
- Experience working with overseas factories and reviewing CADs and samples.
Responsibilities
- Lead concept development for all collections from research to final design and tech packs.
- Originate new concepts for review, including icons, story groups and extensions of franchises.
- Balance design classics with zeitgeisty newness and present concepts with clear rationale.
