Job summary

J.P. Morgan in Worcester, MA is seeking an Investment Banking Associate/Analyst to develop analytics, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills across M&A, ECM, debt, and restructurings.

You will work with senior bankers on deal origination and execution, prepare client materials, build financial models and valuation analyses, and coordinate with lawyers, accountants and clients throughout transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in an investment banking front office role.
• Understanding of financial/business concepts.
• Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills.
• Demonstrate common sense and possess good communication skills.
• Willingness to work hard and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with sound analytical and decision-making skills.
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Working with senior bankers in deals origination and execution across products range including M&A, ECM (IPO, PO and Blocks), bonds, loans and structured products.
• Prepare client materials such as pitchbooks, financial analysis, investor presentations.
• Possess strong financial modeling skill/potential.
• Creating financial models and detailed valuation analysis for pitches / projects.
• Interacting with senior team members and client management teams to execute transactions and identifying and managing all risks in each deal.
• Guiding, reviewing and coordinating the analytic work of junior bankers to move marketing / execution process forward.
• Liaising with internal and external parties on transactions (e.g. lawyers, accountants, counterparties).
• Providing leadership and mentorship in guiding and training junior bankers and research analysts.
• Leading client negotiations, Q&A process, due diligence and management interviews.
