Particle Measuring Systems, Inc. in Niwot, CO is seeking an Internal Controls Manager to lead the global controls program, support the Global Controller, and drive governance across Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

The role focuses on maintaining the controls framework, policy documentation, and audit readiness. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in accounting/controls, experience with SOX, and strong collaboration skills to partner with regional finance leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, internal controls, audit, compliance, or financial governance.
• 3+ years of experience managing or leading internal control, compliance, audit, or financial reporting initiatives.
• Experience within a multinational/global organization with regional responsibility.
• Experience supporting external and internal audits or SOX programs.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, risk assessment, and financial governance principles.
• Knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, consolidations, transfer pricing, and statutory compliance.
• Experience developing policies, procedures, process documentation, and business controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and propose solutions.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication across functions and regions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the global internal controls framework and control testing calendar.
• Coordinate regional control self-assessments and remediation with regional finance leaders.
• Lead control testing activities and evidence collection for compliance requirements.
• Document control execution and policy compliance for reporting and audits.
• Develop a global controls and balance sheet risk reporting process with visibility into remediation progress.
• Establish global balance sheet reconciliation standards and governance processes.
• Own intercompany governance, including mismatch analysis and consolidation support.
• Coordinate transfer pricing activities and documentation retention.
• Maintain global statutory and tax compliance calendars in partnership with regional teams.
• Coordinate audit readiness activities and remediation efforts arising from audits.
• Maintain and update accounting policies, process documentation, and governance standards.
• Partner with finance leaders to drive process standardization and ERP enhancements.
• Develop centralized repositories for policies, controls, and audit materials.
• Continuously evaluate processes for efficiency, quality, and safety.
