Job summary

Chevron is seeking an Insurance Analyst to join its Corporate Insurance group in Houston. The role supports global insurance programs through design, placement, administration, and analysis, partnering with brokers, legal teams, and Treasury leadership to implement Chevron’s self-insurance approach and risk transfer strategies.

The position offers exposure to major capital projects, joint ventures, and international operations, with travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Economics, Engineering or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in corporate insurance, risk management, insurance brokerage, underwriting, or an insurance company environment.
• Ability to analyze complex insurance issues and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
• Experience reviewing contractual insurance requirements and risk transfer provisions with understanding of coverage structures.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with business units and corporate staff for underwriting information to support insurance.
• Respond to brokers and underwriters on underwriting questions and issues.
• Evaluate insurance program alternatives and provide analytic support for designs.
• Review draft policy terms, finalize policies, and coordinate premium payments.
• Identify risks and mitigate through appropriate insurance solutions.
• Coordinate insurance claim recovery processes and broker RFPs as needed.
• Support contract reviews and liaise with legal on insurance language.
