Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Global Indirect Tax Automation Manager to lead third-party tax software implementations and custom interfaces across SAP, Oracle, and billing platforms. You will steer requirements, design, build and testing efforts while growing a team and collaborating with sales and client teams.

You will work in a hybrid model, with in-person attendance required several days weekly, and travel as needed. A strong background in ERP tax systems and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a technical field.
• Credentials such as PMP, Six Sigma, Lean or equivalent are required.
• Masters in accounting, Tax or IS Tax is preferred.
• CPA/CA-type certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead as Project Manager for third-party tax software implementations (Vertex, Avalara, Sovos, Thomson Reuters, ADP, Billsoft).
• Manage system integrations with SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, and similar ERP/billing systems.
• Perform requirements analysis and design for indirect tax software implementations.
• Oversee interfaces programming and modification of existing interfaces.
• Coordinate testing and go-live support for projects.
• Develop and deliver requirements/design/test documents.
• Mentor staff to perform core project activities.
• Participate in Sales and Proposal meetings.
