Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Import Specialist to support its trade compliance team. The role focuses on import shipments, HTS classification, and C-TPAT/FTZ compliance, collaborating with brokers and internal departments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Customs Regulations especially 19 CFR 146 and import compliance.
• Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and industry websites (CROSS, FDA, APHIS, US HTS).
• Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications.
• Auditing principles.
• 5–12 years of experience in import operations and compliance with an importer or customs broker.

Responsibilities

• Research and classify parts for import shipments and HTS numbers.
• Respond to Customs information requests promptly per regulations.
• Classify new import parts per HTSUS guidelines.
• Assist in risk assessment reviews for imports.
• Support C-TPAT and FTZ compliance activities.
