Job summary

International SOS Government Medical Services seeks a licensed Pharmacist to join a United States government medical support program in Iraq. You will provide comprehensive pharmacy services, collaborate with clinical teams, counsel patients, and supervise operations to ensure safe medication use and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited school.
• Full unrestricted U.S. Pharmacist licensure required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 3+ years of recent pharmacist experience, including at least 6 months within the last year.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with a valid passport.
• Ability to obtain MRPT security clearance and meet deployment-related medical/physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense medications while supporting safe, effective treatment plans across a broad range of patient care needs.
• Provide medication counseling and clinical education to patients and healthcare staff regarding dosage, interactions, side effects, and appropriate medication use.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and clinical teams to support medication management, optimize patient outcomes, and ensure continuity of care.
• Monitor medication therapies for safety, effectiveness, and compliance with pharmacy regulations, protocols, and quality standards.
• Oversee pharmacy inventory, storage, procurement, and distribution processes while supporting organized operations and workflow continuity.
• Support health screenings, pharmacy documentation, and supervision of pharmacy staff within the scope of practice.
