Job summary

The Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children's Hospital Global Health Network seeks a Pediatrics - Global Health (Instructor) to work in Malawi and at BCM Malawi facilities, providing vital pediatric care and training health professionals. This role combines clinical service with education and outreach across sites, with opportunities to mentor trainees and participate in CME activities.

Based in Houston, TX, the position requires MD and U.S. work authorization.

Qualifications

• MD required and eligible to work in the United States.
• Experience in pediatric care and clinical mentoring.
• Ability to document medical information accurately using EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical assessment, evaluation and care to patients at the BCM Malawi facilities.
• Attend to patients at Foundation sites and pediatric wards as needed.
• Mentor, educate, and provide technical assistance to healthcare providers and trainees.
• Document medical information using paper charts and/or EMR.
• Participate in CME activities and meetings across clinical/educational settings.
• Participate in national training as directed by the organization and donors.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
