You will supervise a team of journalists, coach reporters on big scoops, long‑lead features and enterprise pieces across text, video, audio and live events. The role anchors Bloomberg’s east coast coverage and coordinates with teams worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience leading coverage in a fast-paced business news environment.
• Strong editorial judgment with ability to craft concise, contextual headlines quickly.
• Track record or interest in storytelling across formats and navigating a large newsroom.
• Comfort with data, numbers, analytics, and newsroom technologies.

Responsibilities

• Expand and improve coverage of the business of sports, delivering scoops and enterprise.
• Make fast, sound editorial calls as news breaks.
• Be selective about what stories to cover and what not to cover for strategic impact.
• Foster a strong culture as Bloomberg establishes a dedicated sports leadership team in New York.
