Job summary

Hartmann Young Limited on behalf of an established CRO seeks a Global Head of Clinical Delivery to lead a global portfolio of studies. You will steer timelines, quality, budgets and resources, while shaping the delivery culture and building sponsor relationships.

The role requires senior CRO delivery experience, the ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on problem solving, and a track record of developing leaders and delivering complex programmes across regions.

Qualifications

• Substantial CRO experience in clinical delivery, clinical operations or project management leadership.
• Experience overseeing multiple programmes and leading teams across countries or regions.
• Strong financial and operational judgement, including portfolio oversight and resource planning.
• Confidence managing senior sponsor relationships and complex delivery escalations.
• Evidence of improving delivery performance while maintaining quality and developing teams.
• The ability to move between strategic leadership and practical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical delivery across a global portfolio, maintaining oversight of study timelines, quality, budgets and resources.

• Act as a senior escalation point for sponsors, supporting strong relationships and effective issue resolution.

• Strengthen delivery processes, performance measures and consistency across teams.
• Partner with commercial colleagues on proposals, bid defence meetings and delivery planning.
• Develop leadership capability and build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

We’re working on behalf of an established CRO to appoint a Global Head of Clinical Delivery.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who combines strong operational judgement with the ability to lead teams, strengthen sponsor relationships and improve delivery across a clinical portfolio.

We’re interested in speaking with experienced CRO leaders, including Executive Directors ready to move into a broader global remit.
