Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Freight Audit Payment Specialist to optimize freight invoice payments, implement controls, and deliver data-driven insights at scale. You will analyze complex spend, collaborate with accounts payable and finance, and build automated auditing processes to drive cost reductions across global operations.

The role requires strong analytical, communication, and data skills, with experience in procurement, supply chain, and financial analysis.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations experience.
• 5+ years of strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Develop auditing automation strategies for transportation freight invoices and ensuring proper controls.
• Engage with financial analysts and business partners to promote cost reduction and customer focus.
• Oversee auditing operations and develop analytical models with cross-functional communication.
• Coordinate with technology and payable teams to ensure timely freight invoice payments.
• Participate in finance and accounting activities globally with multiple currencies.
• Recommend and implement policies to estimate freight cost accurately and ensure payment accuracy.
• Identify and execute analyses to uncover opportunities and present business recommendations.
• Analyze and solve business problems at their root.
