Job summary

thyssenkrupp seeks a Finance Intern to join the North America Finance team, supporting accounting, accounts payable, reporting, and SAP-related activities across the United States. The role offers exposure to corporate finance operations and collaboration with teams in the United States, Germany, Hungary, India, and Mexico, with a six to nine month duration and a schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a master's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration, or have completed a bachelor's degree in one of these fields.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support invoice processing, customer billing, receivables monitoring, payment follow-ups, and collection activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries in SAP and review financial transactions for accuracy and maintain supporting documentation for accounting entries.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Assist with tracking project costs, purchase orders, and commitments.
• Prepare cost reports, variance analyses, and project financial summaries.
• Support project financial reporting and documentation requirements.
• Assist with bank transaction research, reconciliations, and treasury inquiries.
• Collect and organize supporting documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
• Organize documentation related to customs duties, tax filings, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain financial trackers, spreadsheets, and reporting databases.
• Support data extraction, validation, and analysis from SAP and other financial systems.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analyses and continuous process improvement initiatives.
