Job summary

Alibaba Cloud is seeking a Site Selection Leader in Sunnyvale to drive overseas facility research, negotiations, and vendor relationships. You will present strategic proposals to leadership, aiming to save costs and mitigate risks across global sites.

Work with networking, procurement and finance teams to identify build-to-suit or co-location sites and manage contracts with third parties. Lead end-to-end site evaluation, reporting, and portfolio metrics to support growth and energy-related

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technology, engineering, science, economics or related field.
• 5+ years of international site selection or acquisition experience in large production facilities.
• Experience in strategic agreements, project management and financial modeling.
• Understanding of build-to-suit, retail and wholesale facility leases.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations for technical and service contracts with key stakeholders.
• Identify locations and sites for self-developed, build-to-suit or co-location facilities and build relationships with providers and developers.
• Lead site evaluation and selection from start to finish with progress tracking and financial metrics.
• Develop strategic agreements with vendors, landowners and suppliers for space and utilities.
• Coordinate with capacity planning for ongoing growth and map portfolio management issues.
