Corning Inc. in Texas seeks a senior engineer to coordinate global programs for the Optical Communications Fulfillment Stream, driving preventive quality and standard processes aligned with customer needs.

You will lead cross-functional teams across Manufacturing, Engineering, PLM, and Logistics to deliver long-term improvements using DMAIC methods and Change Management. Expect up to 25% travel; requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 7+ years of experience, DMAIC certifications, and ERP/QMS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Controls engineering, or Materials Science.
• 7+ years in tech/engineering/manufacturing/supply chain/quality with project management.
• Certified DMAIC Green Belt.
• Certified DMAIC Black Belt.
• Experience as Product/Project Champion managing cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of ERP/QMS platforms SAP, ETQ, SharePoint, Windchill.
• Experience coordinating globally distributed cross-cultural teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Product Engineering group for specific product lines through supervisor and ensure strategic intentions are met.
• Clarify, understand, and document customer requirements, product specifications, industry requirements, and product applications.
• Drive technically rigorous root cause analysis for product integrity issues.
• Respond quickly to customer and commercial requests for rapid product changes.
