Job summary

The University of Chicago Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth (ICSG) seeks an Executive Director, Emissions Market Accelerator (EMA), to lead its next phase of global expansion. The role involves strategic planning, partnership development, fundraising, and cross-functional leadership with EMA's global team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a college or university degree in a related field.
• 10 years of relevant experience in energy/environment space, with Global South exposure preferred.
• Experience building partnerships with governments, NGOs, philanthropies, and private sector.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes strategic planning to grow EMA's government and regulatory partner network in target regions.
• Forms strategic relationships to raise awareness and secure new resources for EMA’s expansion.
• Leads fundraising strategy, engages funders, and writes proposals to secure funds for growth.
• Oversees budgeting, financial analysis, procurement, and operational activities of EMA.
• Represents EMA to policymakers, media, and conferences; strengthens public profile.
