Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Director of Clinical Quality Assurance to provide global strategic quality oversight across therapeutic areas in clinical development. You will ensure regulatory compliance, support inspection readiness, and lead QA initiatives to embed quality in development programs.

Responsibilities include leading cross‑functional QA teams, driving CAPA and GCP systems, and partnering with development leaders to meet AbbVie’s Quality System objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science (physical, life, health) or health care profession or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years in the function or closely related field with 5 years in leadership roles.
• Ability to travel (10–20%), including international travel.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to influence and build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategy and direction for quality in clinical trials.
• Lead and develop QA teams across therapeutic areas.
• Coordinate inspections with health authorities and drive inspection readiness.
• Promote continuous education on quality assurance and GCP guidelines.
