Job Description: Summary

The Transformation & Integration Lead is responsible for leading the planning, governance, coordination, and execution of Digital & IT integration activities associated with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, partnerships, and strategic business transformations. The role provides end-to-end leadership of Digital & IT integration activities from pre-close integration planning through Day 1 readiness, integration execution and stabilization. Working closely with relevant senior stakeholders in charge of IPSEN due diligence and M&A overall activities, the role translates transaction findings, risks, assumptions, and integration requirements into executable integration plans and delivery roadmaps. The role acts as the central orchestration point between business functions, GDIT teams, acquired entities, external partners, and executive governance bodies to ensure successful integration delivery while minimizing business disruption and maximizing value realization. When M&A activity is limited, the position actively supports strategic CDIO Office initiatives including operating model evolution, governance optimization, portfolio management, value realization, cross-functional transformation programs, ad-hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Main Responsibilities & Technical Competencies

Pre-Close Integration Planning & Readiness

Partner with Business Development, Strategy & Transformation - Integration Management Office, HR, Finance, DTLT members and all relevant business stakeholders to prepare Digital & IT integration activities prior to transaction close. Collaborate with DTLT members in charge of due diligence activities to understand the target environment, key risks, technical debt, contractual commitments, cybersecurity considerations, operational constraints and integration opportunities. Translate due diligence findings into integration requirements, workstreams, resource needs, cost estimates, risks and delivery plans. Develop preliminary integration strategies, Day 1 readiness plans, transition approaches and post-close roadmaps. Assess Digital & IT operating model, application, infrastructure, data, security and support implications of potential transactions. Support executive decision-making through integration scenarios, effort estimates, risk assessments and high-level implementation approaches. Ensure readiness of governance structures, reporting mechanisms and delivery teams ahead of transaction close.

M&A Integration Governance & Planning

Establish and manage Digital & IT integration governance frameworks, decision forums, escalation paths, and reporting mechanisms. Develop and maintain end-to-end integration plans covering business applications, infrastructure, workplace services, cybersecurity, data, and technology operations. Coordinate integration workstreams and dependencies across functional and technical teams. Support integration strategy development and execute approved Day 1, Day 30, Transition Services, and Day 100 objectives. Ensure alignment between business integration priorities and Digital & IT delivery plans. Prepare executive updates, steering committee materials, integration dashboards, and decision papers.

M&A Integration Execution

Coordinate implementation and transition activities across Digital & IT domains. Drive delivery of integration milestones within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality expectations. Track risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and mitigation plans. Facilitate resolution of cross-functional challenges and competing priorities. Coordinate third parties, vendors, consultants, and integration partners as required. Ensure smooth transition from integration projects into operational ownership and support models.

Stakeholder & Executive Management

Build strong relationships with senior business leaders, acquisition teams, finance, legal, HR, and GDIT leadership. Act as the primary coordination point for Digital & IT integration activities. Translate complex technical topics into business-focused recommendations. Influence stakeholders across multiple organizations without direct authority. Facilitate executive decision making through clear communication of risks, options, trade-offs, and recommendations.

Governance, Reporting & Performance Management

Develop and maintain integration and transformation performance indicators. Produce executive dashboards, status reports, and portfolio insights. Ensure decisions, actions, risks, and dependencies are properly documented and tracked. Support budget monitoring and financial reporting of assigned initiatives. Promote standardized delivery practices, governance principles, and lessons learned.

Transition to Operational Ownership

Coordinate transition of integrated services and solutions into steady-state operations. Ensure support models, roles, processes, and documentation are established. Facilitate knowledge transfer, training, and change management activities. Drive post-integration reviews and lessons learned. Identify opportunities for further optimization and value realization.

Transformation & CDIO Office Support

When M&A activity is low, the role will support priority CDIO Office initiatives, such as but not limited to: governance framework definition and optimization; portfolio and demand management improvements; value realization and performance tracking activities; project lifecycle and delivery framework improvements; ad-hoc project management; organizational effectiveness and continuous improvement initiatives, etc.

Knowledge & Experience (essential)

• Strong experience (12+ years) in technology, business transformation, program management, or integration management
• Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional transformation initiatives
• Experience coordinating activities across international and multicultural teams
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, integrations, separations, or major organizational transformations preferred
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience preparing leadership presentations, steering committees, and governance materials
• Ability to operate effectively in highly ambiguous and rapidly changing environments
• Strong understanding of enterprise Digital & IT landscapes, including applications, infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, data and technology operations
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles, application lifecycle management and technology roadmaps
• Ability to translate technical concepts, risks and options into clear business recommendations for executive stakeholders
• Experience using portfolio, planning and reporting tools such as OnePlan, Microsoft Project, Jira or equivalent platforms
• Proficient in Microsoft 365, Copilot and reporting tools such as Power BI
• Good understanding of cloud services and enterprise platforms, including SaaS, AWS and Azure

Knowledge & Experience (preferred)

• Pharmaceutical or life sciences experience

Education / Certifications (essential)

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline; Graduate degree (Masters/MBA) preferred

Salary and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $143,250-$210,100. This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentives program.
