Job summary

Amentum is a global leader in advanced engineering and technology solutions, seeking a Data Security Analyst to safeguard enterprise data warehouses and ETL pipelines in international and government contexts.

You will implement classification-driven security controls across Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, and more, ensuring compliance with GDPR, FedRAMP, NIST, and other standards while supporting secure data flows and audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; typically 5 years of data security experience in international or government environments.
  • Hands-on with major cloud and on-premise data platforms in secure environments.
  • Experience implementing encryption, key management, DLP, and secure data exchange protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Data Classification & Governance: support organization-wide data classification programs and maintain schemas.
  • Data Warehouse Security: implement RBAC, column/row-level security, encryption at rest, and audit logging.
  • International Compliance & Cross-Border Data Flows: manage data sovereignty and cross-border transfer mechanisms; ensure GDPR, LGPD, CCPA.
  • Government & Regulatory Compliance: support FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53, ITAR; prepare for audits and maintain ATO evidence.
  • ETL/Pipeline & Interface Security: secure data ingestion and interfaces (APIs, SFTP, EDI) with TLS and DLP policies.
  • Access Management & Least Privilege: enforce strict access controls and conduct regular reviews.
  • Risk Assessment, Auditing & Monitoring: support risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and SIEM usage.
  • Incident Response & Forensics: support investigations with proper handling per regulations.
