Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a People Subject Matter Expert to lead compensation design and harmonization for global and acquired workforces in Plano, TX. You will partner with business leaders, HR partners, and executives to drive data‑driven compensation decisions.

You will define policies, monitor KPIs/OKRs, and manage external partners while ensuring compliance and market competitiveness for a complex, matrixed organization.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in compensation, with post‑acquisition integration exposure.
  • Deep expertise in compensation strategy development and governance.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation legislation and market practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy compensation frameworks, policies, and guidelines for legacy and acquired populations.
  • Oversee compensation harmonization to balance equity with business needs.
  • Partner with BU leaders, People Business Partners, and executives to align strategies.
  • Define and track KPIs/OKRs to measure impact of compensation programs.
  • Select and manage external partners, consultants, and vendors.
  • Develop change management and communication plans to ensure transparency during transitions.
  • Stay current on compensation trends and compliance to maintain competitive advantage.

What you will do:
  • Design & Strategy: Lead the creation and deployment of compensation frameworks, policies, and guidelines tailored to both legacy and acquired employee populations.
  • Harmonization Leadership: Oversee the compensation harmonization process, balancing organizational equity with enterprise talent needs and Ericsson Group needs.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Partner closely with business unit leaders, People Business Partners, and executive teams to align compensation strategies with business objectives.
  • Performance Measurement: Define and track KPIs/OKRs to measure the effectiveness of compensation strategies and frameworks.
  • Supplier Management: Select and manage external partners, consultants, and vendors to support compensation initiatives.
  • Change Management & Communications: Develop and execute communication strategies to ensure transparency and stakeholder alignment during transitions.
  • Compliance & Industry Insight: Remain current on compensation trends, legal requirements, and industry best practices to maintain competitive advantage and compliance.
  • Business Influence: Present data‑driven recommendations to senior leadership, influencing key decisions through storytelling and evidence-based insights.
The skills you bring:
  • 8+ yrs experience in compensation
  • Proven track record in large, complex global or matrixed organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • Deep expertise in compensation strategy development, particularly in post‑acquisition integration contexts.
  • Advanced knowledge of HR processes, compensation legislation, and market practices.
  • Demonstrated skills in strategic leadership, business partnering, data analysis, and program management. Proficiency in excel
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence at senior levels.

Your Pay

The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro‑ration rules apply.

  • Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
