Job summary

You will manage website redesigns, freelancer relationships, social media, SEO, analytics, and cross-unit collaboration; oversee newsletters, podcasts, and crisis communications;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or a related field.
• Four years of professional experience in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
• Experience developing and publishing content across digital and print channels.
• Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working in international, global, or cross-cultural environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the editorial strategy for Duke Global communications, including storytelling priorities, interviews, and content production for GPS, Strategy, Partnerships and Innovation, and the Alliance.
• Amplify global initiatives across Duke units and ensure Duke Global website, newsletter, social media reflect diversity of global research and resources.
• Lead health and safety and outbound visa services messaging, including crisis communications.
• Support communications needs of the Chief Global Strategist and other Duke Global senior leaders, including presentations and interviews.
• Oversee website development, freelancer management, and cross-unit collaboration across Duke Global, Alliance, OGHS and GTO.
