Job summary

Cosm is seeking a Senior Director of Communications to lead external communications and public relations, shaping brand perception and corporate reputation. You will advise Cosm executives, guide a high-performing team, and synchronize messaging across partners and platforms, including sports, entertainment, and technology sectors.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in relevant fields, 5+ years managing teams, and proven media relationships.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience in sports and entertainment, technology, and/or corporate communications.
• 5+ years of experience as a people manager leading high-performing teams.
• Experience as a corporate spokesperson and building relationships with media outlets.
• Strategic thinker who plans ten steps ahead and aligns with organizational priorities.
• Ability to travel regularly and manage executive visibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead a best-in-class integrated communications plan to increase awareness, relevance, and visibility of Cosm’s brand, platform, and leaders.
• Oversee external press relations and proactive press outreach to secure high-impact placements across sport, entertainment, business, technology, and advertising press.
• Drive announcement strategy for major corporate news, partnerships, sponsorships, events, and launches.
• Manage a successful awards program that prioritizes ongoing nominations and submissions for Cosm and its leaders.
• Advance athlete and talent relations in partnership with Marketing and Partnerships teams.
• Develop a sustainable on-the-ground media relations strategy across all Cosm locations.
• Support internal communications by equipping employees with tools to represent the Cosm brand.
• Support executive visibility and thought leadership within the sports and entertainment industry.
• Support crisis communications planning and reputation management efforts.
• Ensure consistency of voice, narrative, and positioning across communications efforts and the Cosm platform.
