Job summary

Amazon’s Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) seeks a Sr Global Engineering Program Manager – Building Controls & Automation to lead the technical strategy, standards, and optimization of BMS across our global corporate office portfolio. This is a hands-on leadership role for a mechanical/controls specialist.

You will drive open-protocol BMS architecture, fault detection, and data-driven optimization while balancing cost and global scale, partnering with IT/Sec and MEP disciplines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or technical project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience in building systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain global controls/BMS and mechanical design standards, guidelines, and specifications.
• Define open-protocol BMS architecture and integration; coordinate with OT security and data governance.
• Lead operational guidelines and SOPs for mechanical systems, controls, and equipment.
• Establish fault detection, diagnostics, and analytics to optimize energy use across the portfolio.
• Provide SME support to regional teams on complex mechanical and controls issues, including commissioning and TAB.
• Develop lifecycle strategies for equipment maintenance and modernization.
