Job summary

MAHLE is seeking a Project Manager in Troy, MI to drive customer programs from acquisition through launch. You will coordinate cross-functional activities across engineering, operations, purchasing and manufacturing to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and high customer satisfaction.

You will report to the BU2 Thermal and Fluid Systems team and lead a project team, manage risks and changes, and present updates to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development projects, ideally for customers in the automotive industry.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a global environment.
• Experience working in a Global environment with remote teams using program management tools is a plus (MS Project, Quality tools, risk Planning & Assessment).
• Entrepreneurial skills and customer and process orientation.

Responsibilities

• Functional leadership of the project team (motivate and convince team members in order to meet overall target of the project).
• Ensuring of simultaneous engineering as well as effective opportunity and risk management.
• Planning and assigning work packages to the team while monitoring and controlling the progress (project structure; project phases, schedule and milestones; project organization, etc).
• Management of all project stakeholders interests (including reporting, escalation or compromise if necessary).
• Project reporting and presentation to management committees
• Coordination and management of project changes and deviations considering the effects on the project objectives
