Job summary

International Motors, Lisle HQ, is seeking a Senior Procurement Consultant to lead the sourcing strategy for Castings and manage a $95M supplier base. You will negotiate contracts, drive cost reduction, and align TRATON brand supplier approaches across MAN, SCANIA, and VW Truck & Bus.

You will collaborate across Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, Aftersales, and Risk Management to ensure continuity of supply and optimal total cost performance in a highly strategic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of purchasing/procurement experience (minimum requirement).
• At least 1 year of lead experience.
• Master's degree and at least 3 years of purchasing/procurement experience (alternate path).
• At least 8 years of purchasing/procurement experience (alternate path).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for Castings aligned with business objectives.
• Manage a strategic supply base with roughly $95M annual spend.
• Lead commercial negotiations related to pricing, cost reduction, and contracts.
• Coordinate sourcing strategies across TRATON brands to drive value.
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and Supply Chain.
• Analyze spend, costs, market conditions, and supplier proposals to inform decisions.
• Build executive-level business cases and sourcing recommendations.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, and continuity of supply.
