IMF is seeking a contract Audit Specialist in the Office of Internal Audit (OIA) in Washington, DC to support risk-based audits and advisory engagements spanning Business Process and IT domains. The one-year appointment focuses on planning, testing, and delivering high-impact audit reports to management and client counterparts.

You will apply analytical skills, professional skepticism, and collaboration with teams and external consultants to ensure timely delivery within budget.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and professional certifications required for the role.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience, or 2+ years at Grade A10, as applicable.
• Strong analytical thinking, integrity, and ability to engage stakeholders effectively.

• Supports delivery of audits and advisory projects in Business Process and IT domains.
• Leads engagements as auditor-in-charge when assigned.
• Applies risk-based audit techniques with testing and data analysis to identify risks and provide recommendations.
