Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. seeks a Senior Manager to oversee the global applications teams supporting our Analog Power product lines. You will collaborate with marketing to shape product line strategies and work with engineering leaders to drive technical direction and execution.

You will lead a geographically distributed group, set performance objectives, and foster technical excellence while aligning resources with business goals. Travel 0–25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: BSEE or MSEE (or equivalent), emphasis in power electronics or analog circuit design preferred.
• Experience: 15+ years in analog/power semiconductor applications engineering with at least 5 years in a leadership/management role.
• Domain Expertise: Expert knowledge of switch-mode power supply topologies (buck, boost, buck-boost, flyback, forward, etc.), linear regulators, power modules, etc.
• Leadership: Ability to build and lead geographically distributed engineering teams.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex technical concepts to both engineers and executives.
• Business Savvy: Ability to balance technical solutions with business impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, global applications engineering team, focusing on the senior managers reporting directly to this position.
• Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular reviews, and foster a culture of technical excellence and client-centric problem solving.
• Work with Analog Power applications team leaders to manage resource allocations across product lines and client support.
• Collaborate with our global FAE team leadership to ensure teams have resources and tools to support client success.
• Work with marketing and applications team leaders to establish product line strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
