Syndax Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Director, Alliance Management to lead governance and optimization of strategic partnerships, reporting to the SVP, Business Development. This hands-on leader will drive alliance strategy, risk management, and ongoing partner success across clinical and commercial programs in a global context.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in life sciences Alliance Management or related function.
• Experience in Alliance Management for clinical and commercial stage programs, preferably in global development/co-development partnerships.
• Ability to work with Legal to interpret and guide collaboration agreements and term sheets.
• Deep understanding of research, development, and global commercialization processes for therapeutics (oncology a plus).
• Strong leadership, cross-functional experience, and clear communications for senior management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and govern strategic partnerships, manage governance committees, and drive issue resolution.
• Ensure cross-functional involvement in decision making and budget discussions per partnership agreements.
• Monitor adherence to research, development, and commercialization plans and manage potential crises.
• Coordinate with Legal, Finance, R&D, Program Management, and Commercial for contract milestones and reporting.
• Lead internal teams to establish alliance positions and prepare for alliance kickoff and negotiations.
• Conduct frequent reviews with senior leadership to share milestones and solicit feedback.
