Job summary

Appen seeks a Strategic Sourcer to join a new global sourcing hub focused on specialized and hard‑to‑reach talent for AI projects. You will partner across Sourcing Lead, Recruitment, and Delivery to translate complex requirements into targeted searches and rapidly scale efforts.

You will operate in a data-informed, AI-enabled environment, using technology to enhance human judgment, creativity, and connection while maintaining strong collaboration across time zones and teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in sourcing, recruitment, or talent acquisition.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong research and problem-solving, with ability to adapt when traditional methods fail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute creative sourcing strategies for specialized, hard-to-reach, and high-volume needs.
• Explore communities, networks, referrals, and non-traditional channels to find and engage contributors.
• Translate project requirements into targeted searches and adapt strategies as needs evolve.
• Communicate sourcing progress, challenges, and market feedback, and flag potential risks.
• Use sourcing data and funnels to identify bottlenecks, test approaches, and improve performance.
• Use AI and automation in research, outreach, analysis, and sourcing workflows to improve efficiency.
