Job summary

Flatiron Health is seeking an AI Tech Lead Manager (Platform) to grow a Germany-based global Platform Enablement team, expanding Platform to support AI-enabled workflows and a broader international footprint.

You will shape platform priorities by translating regional requirements into scalable capabilities and drive collaboration with global Platform leaders to maintain alignment with strategy.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering or platform engineering experience, with 3+ years as a people leader.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional engineering initiatives across organisations.
• Strong platform architecture and cloud infrastructure knowledge: CI/CD, observability, Kubernetes, data platforms.
• Experience building high-performing teams focused on reliability, developer productivity, and maintainability.
• Knowledge of AI orchestration, multi-agent systems, governance, and AI workflows.
• Product-minded enablement approach with excellent communication.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a UK- and Germany-based engineering team focused on AI enablement and platform engineering.
• Align regional execution with global strategy and establish operating models.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives across engineering, product, security, and data science.
• Define technical direction for reusable AI platform capabilities and governance.
• Establish engineering best practices for AI-enabled systems, including observability and cost management.
• Guide architectural decisions across deterministic, single-agent, and multi-agent approaches.
• Build team capability through hands-on technical leadership and adoption of new AI tech.
