Job summary

Glass Doctor of Maumee is seeking a Technician Apprentice to support installing auto and flat glass, measuring accurately, and ensuring quality workmanship. You will accompany experienced technicians, learn to install windows, mirrors, and hardware for residential and commercial projects, and advance to a full-time glazier role upon demonstrated proficiency.

Strong communication and measurement skills are essential, with a focus on customer satisfaction and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to measure accurately and use tape measures and levels.
• Proficiency to navigate tablet-based technology.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver license.
• Must pass drug screening and background check prior to official offer.

Responsibilities

• Install glass, mirrors, door and window hardware in replacement and new installations.
• Install auto glass, mirrors and hardware.
• Ensure efficient use of materials and maintain vehicle stock.
• Sell flat glass products and services to customers.
• Conduct accurate field measuring and cut flat glass/mirrors to specified dimensions.
• Collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed.
• Keep company vehicle and equipment serviced, clean, and in good condition.
• Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports.
• Execute Service with Advanced Training (SWAT).
• Perform other duties as needed including cross-training.
