Job summary

TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate in Houston, TX. This full-time role handles glass and related materials, with emphasis on safe handling, labeling, inspection, and transportation across production and warehouse areas.

You will work with a team to move materials, operate equipment, and maintain accurate labeling and documentation, while meeting safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Production environment experience preferred, especially in glass industry.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate information from paperwork and labels.
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to use a tape measure accurately.
• Capable of working in all areas of production as business needs dictate.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted and up to 150 pounds with a team member.
• Comfortable standing for long periods and working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Move glass materials from tables, furnaces, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for extended periods, typically eight or more hours daily.
• Transport materials, including glass, from one location to another within the warehouse.
• Ensure proper labeling on all shipped and received products.
• Conduct quality inspections on incoming and outgoing items to maintain high standards.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently, as well as manually maneuver materials as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to support safety and operational efficiency.
• Support other production-related tasks as assigned to meet business needs.
