Job summary

Anbihian, Inc. in Silver Spring, MD seeks an experienced Google Cloud Architect Infrastructure Engineer (GKE) to design, deploy, and operate GKE clusters for Verizon IT applications. You will leverage existing cloud design, policies, and Verizon practices to the GCP/GKE stack, enhancing architecture and automation.

The role emphasizes building tooling, integrating CI/CD workflows, and collaborating with developers and infra teams to migrate workloads into GKE.

Qualifications

GKE architecture, deployment and operations experience.
CI/CD pipelines with test-driven frameworks.
GKE security policy implementation and testing.
GKE architecture design.
GKE automation to stand up clusters.
Strong communication and written skills.
Documentation of technical architecture.
GCP Identity Management (Service Principals, Managed Identity, Service Roles).
GKE PSP/OPA policy management.

Responsibilities

Design and build GKE clusters for Verizon IT applications migrating to or built in greenfield.
Combine cloud design, policies and practices from Verizon to GCP/GKE.
Enhance and contribute to new GKE architecture.
Develop tooling and self-service capabilities.
Integrate automation workflows into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Ansible, Gitlab).
Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to improve developer experience.
Migrate or build the initial pioneer workloads into GKE.
