Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • Direct Deposit Required.
  • Drug test and negative result prior to appointment; random testing.
  • Must hold a valid state drivers license.
  • Individuals assigned male at birth after 12-31-59 must be registered for the Selective Service.
  • On-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work.
  • May need to complete training and obtain government charge card.

Responsibilities

  • Develop GIS-based situation awareness products for wildland fire planning cycles.
  • Establishes and documents datasets used for mapping and fire intelligence.
  • Provides technical advice to GIS staff; mentors others in production methods and data stewardship.
  • Coordinates data capture and analysis projects with Federal, State, Tribal, and local agencies.
