Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a GIS Analyst to support municipal projects in Florida with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. You will create maps, dashboards, and web/mobile apps, and handle data manipulation, analysis, and client demonstrations.

The role includes fieldwork, data collection, and occasional travel along the east coast. A Bachelor's in GIS with 3+ years in public works or utilities is required, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Remote Sensing or related field required.
• 3+ years related professional experience in municipal government, utilities, or public works.
• Professional experience with current ArcGIS Pro releases and ArcGIS Online.
• Working knowledge of map design and end-user focused layout.
• Working knowledge of Public Works and municipal engineering services.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodmans east-coast Florida region.

Responsibilities

• Report to the GIS Department Manager for work responsibilities, scheduling, and tasks.
• Perform office-based mapping tasks, map creation, data manipulation, analysis and technical problem solving.
• Create and manage ArcGIS Online Organization accounts and related content.
• Perform troubleshooting tasks.
• Manage geodata standards, clean up, and maintenance.
• Provide onsite work for municipal clients and field-based projects as needed.
• Develop and maintain custom maps, dashboards, and web/mobile applications.
• Support proposal preparation, client presentations and training, and demonstrations of GIS capabilities.
• Provide field-based services including GPS data collection of new assets/as-builts, condition assessments.
