Job summary

Mil Geospatial LLC is a woman-owned GIS consulting firm in the Phoenix metro area. The firm seeks a GIS Analyst to take projects from data to deliverables, designing geodatabases, publishing web maps, and supporting drone mapping operations in a remote setup.

The ideal candidate will have a GIS degree or equivalent, 2+ years of experience, and strong ArcGIS Pro/ArcGIS Online skills, plus familiarity with drone mapping and Python scripting. Occasional site travel is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of professional GIS experience
  • Strong proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
  • Experience with drone mapping or photogrammetry software (ArcGIS Drone2Map, Site Scan, Pix4D)
  • Solid understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and data accuracy
  • Strong cartographic and design skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently in a remote setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to build client/colleague relationships
  • Ability to travel to project sites for field data collection and drone mapping

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain geodatabases with data models, schemas, and topology rules
  • Collect and integrate GIS data from multiple sources (as-builts, CAD, survey, imagery, drone outputs)
  • Perform spatial analysis and geoprocessing to support client decisions
  • Publish and maintain web maps and dashboards in ArcGIS Online
  • Produce clear maps and exhibits for reports and client deliverables
  • Plan and support on-site drone mapping and create orthomosaics and elevation models
  • Maintain parcel and land records data in ArcGIS Pro Parcel Fabric
  • Convert data between GIS and CAD environments
  • QA/QC on data and deliverables for quality and consistency
  • Write workflow documentation and SOPs
  • Automate tasks with ModelBuilder or Python where possible
  • Communicate project status and results to managers and clients

Education

Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, or related field

For more than 10 years, we have delivered a full range of GIS services to public and private sector clients, as either the prime consultant or a subconsultant. GIS ANALYST

We are looking for a GIS Analyst who can take projects from data to deliverable. You will design and maintain geospatial data, build and publish web maps and applications, produce high-quality cartography, and support drone mapping operations in the field. You will work directly with clients and project teams, so you need both strong technical skills and the judgment to apply them independently.

Knowledge and Skills

Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience

2+ years of professional GIS experience

Strong proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online

Experience with drone mapping or photogrammetry software (e.g., ArcGIS Drone2Map, Site Scan, Pix4D)

Solid understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and data accuracy

Strong cartographic and design skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently in a remote setting

Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues

Ability to travel to project sites for field data collection and drone mapping

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with the Parcel Fabric in ArcGIS Pro

Experience with GIS/CAD interoperability (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation)

Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, engineering plans, and as-builts

Python scripting experience (ArcPy or ArcGIS API for Python)

Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise

Esri technical certification or GISP

Experience working with government or tribal clients

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain geodatabases, including data models, schemas, attribute domains, and topology rules

Collect, digitize, validate, and integrate GIS data from many sources, including as-builts, CAD files, survey data, imagery, and drone outputs

Perform spatial analysis and geoprocessing to answer client questions and support project decisions

Publish and maintain web maps, feature services, dashboards, and applications in ArcGIS Online, using tools such as Experience Builder, Dashboards, Field Maps, and Survey123

Produce clear, professional maps and exhibits for reports, presentations, and client deliverables

Plan and support on-site drone mapping, and process imagery into orthomosaics, elevation models, and other deliverables

Maintain parcel and land records data, including work in the ArcGIS Pro Parcel Fabric

Convert and reconcile data between GIS and CAD environments

Perform QA/QC on data and deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with client standards

Write and maintain workflow documentation, metadata, and standard operating procedures

Automate repetitive tasks using ModelBuilder or Python where possible

Communicate project status, issues, and results to project managers and clients
