Job summary

SYNCADD Systems, Inc. is seeking a GIS Administrator to support a DoD client with Enterprise GIS requirements. The role involves administering Portal for ArcGIS, monitoring and maintaining portals, and enhancing GIS data workflows via scripts and models.

The candidate will help maintain ArcGIS Enterprise environments, perform AD administration, and support PostgreSQL geodatabases while coordinating with the GIS team on compliance and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with ArcGIS.
• 1+ years installing and configuring ArcGIS Server and Portal for ArcGIS on Linux.
• 1+ years of experience Portal for ArcGIS Administration.
• 1+ years of experience with ArcGIS Monitor.
• ArcGIS Web Service and Web App Builder development.
• Python scripting.

Responsibilities

• Support the technical lead for enterprise GIS monitoring and services.
• Monitor system performance to ensure standards are met.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve GIS web service performance issues.
• Test capabilities of existing and new ArcGIS Enterprise instances.
• Perform installs and/or upgrades to enterprise systems.
• Administer AWS WorkSpaces.
• Maintain uptime of ArcGIS Enterprise environments.
• Perform Active Directory administration and user account management.
• Support PostgreSQL geodatabase maintenance and connection management.
• Administer the GIS Request Management ticketing system.
• Maintain enhanced system and administrative documentation.

Job Description

The GIS Administrator will be a part of SYNCADD’s GIS Team providing support to a DoD client with Enterprise GIS requirements. The candidate will have the opportunity to help enhance one of the first enterprise systems to be implemented in a DoD cloud environment. Candidate should have hands-on experience with Portal for ArcGIS administration. Support will include monitoring and maintenance of the portals. Tasks will also include quality compliance of GIS data submissions and data workflow improvement activities via the development of scripts, models, etc. to expedite the processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the technical lead for enterprise GIS monitoring and services.
• Monitor system performance to ensure performance standards are met.
